The 12 Months Film Festival (#12MFF) is an international online film event that attracts, displays and awards movie enthusiasts, and professionals from 6 continents, in the largest monthly qualification challenge for the Grand Prize. The 11 months editions will award and send 3 winners each in the #12MFF for the Grand Prize that takes place the end of April 2017.

"Through the Pane" will play the Purgatory Film Exhibition in Detroit, Michigan, USA on March 12, 2017.
Helmed by Dawn Westlake, the short film is based on the memoir chapter by her father, Donald G. Westlake, which deals with his acceptance of her mother's death. They were very happily married for 62 years.
GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs scored the film. (He was nominated for the Peer Raben Music Award at SoundTrack_Cologne in Germany in August 2016.)

Metamora Films Festival (Online) showcases independent film from all over the world. We are specifically looking for documentaries and short narrative films that are meaningful, can tell a inspirational story, and has the power to make a difference in the world.
We are offering $50 dollars cash for each category winner. In addition to this award, your film will be officially recognized on our film website and social media.

Call for Submissions: Somerset Community College Theatre & Film welcomes submissions of films no longer than fifteen minutes in length. There is no submission fee. Join us for the largest screening in our region of experimental, contemporary, traditional, serious, gritty, and funny short animation films submitted from around the world. Over 100+ five minute or less videos were submitted from across the USA as well as from Austria, Hungary, Germany, Czech Republic, Thailand, Iran, Israel, Japan, India, and more! The best 20 submissions will be selected for the 4th Annual Tulsa International Animation Festival by Living Arts’ Video Committee, including festival founder Mery McNett.
Doors and cash bar open at 7:30pm. Screening starts promptly at 8pm.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FRIDAY, September 2, 2016 @ 5pm (central standard time) All animated films must consist of work that you have created. The Tulsa International Animation Festival features short film animations submitted locally and from around the world. Animations may be stop-motion, Claymation, 2-D animation, 3-D animation or cut-outs, to name a few. Videos MUST be 5:00 minutes or less. Curator Mery McNett and the Living Arts Video Committee will determine the festival selections. If your animation is selected you will be notified by email on Friday, September 16, 2016 and your film will be presented at the Living Arts Animation Festival on Friday, September 23, 2016, 8pm at Living ArtSpace, 307 E MB Brady St in downtown Tulsa, OK. "Through the Pane" will play the Inventaunfilm Festival in Lenola, Italy August 9-13, 2016. Ten years ago, a previous film ("A Life of Death") helmer Dawn Westlake made with her father, Donald G. Westlake, won two awards at the 2006 Inventaunfilm: Third Place Film and Best Score for composer GC Johnson.
