Film Festivals
Animasyros is an annual international animation festival held in Hermoupolis, Syros island, Greece. Animasyros started September 2008, hosting a competition section, a number of tributes, seminars, workshops and a great load of parties! Past edition was held in september 2018, 26 -30.
ANONIMUL IFF takes place August in Sf. Gheorghe, Romania.
The Festival has 3 competitive sections - feature, short fiction and short animated - and prizes up to USD 24,000.the deadline for entries is June.

The perspective of island directors at the heart of the “Courts des îles” Festival
The APICA wishes to highlight island sensitivities from all over the world through their audiovisual and cinematic creations, by gathering them around a unique event: The International Festival of Short Fiction Films from the Islands of the World, Courts des îles.
The International Film Festival of Popular Science and Cultural History in Szolnok Hungary (17-20 October 2013) provides a forum for such distinct films which can somehow, in some way be connected to science or cultural history: which are about some scientific result or work, or in its action, language and presentation give place to science, or aspects of cultural history.T
The A.D.D. Short Film Festival will be taking place in Cleveland on Saturday May 7th at a rock 'n' roll bar called Now That's Class (located at Detroit Avenue & W.114th). It's a little DIY film fest celebrating microcinema that will feature low-budget / no-budget, amateur, underground, & student works. The ADD Fest is now accepting submissions! There is no entry fee and you can submit as many films as you want. All submissions should be under thirty minutes in length and should be sent on DVD to: 761 E. 254th Street; Euclid, OH 44132 along with contact information and a brief description of the film (100 words or less). !f Istanbul International Independent Film Festival was founded in 2002 and every February and March,it hosts some 80,000 film buffs and celebrated filmmakers from around the world.
Dedicated to showcasing the best in contemporary film, !f believes that the shared experience of cinema is a form of activism that has the power to connect people across borders and boundaries of all description. The festival is curated and based on thematic sections, some of which change every year to reflect issues that are gripping the world's - and filmmakers'- imagination.
Through !f ², a ground-breaking alternative film distribution and sharing project, !f shares the festival spirit with more than 30 cities in Turkey and neighbouring countries.
In 2008, !f launched an international film competition - !f Inspired- designed to showcase emerging directors who are taking film in new directions. The competition carries a $10,000 prize for the Most Inspired Director. Love & Change, launched in 2014 is an international platform hosting not only films but also filmmakers who look at the world through critical eyes and with soft hearts, believe that another world is possible, and who prove to us, through their work, that cinematic interventions can make a change. Competition contributes to dream of another world with an award of $10,000.

"Women`s Worlds" takes place every year for one week around the 25th of november - the international day "NO to violence against Women" in Tübingen. The focus lies on the life of women worldwide. Most of the films are attended by directors or experts.
