Korean American Film Festival New York (KAFFNY) is now accepting submissions for its 7th Annual film festival, taking place in New York City on October 17-19, 2013.
Submissions will be accepted until July 15th through Withoutabox:www.withoutabox.com/login/7271.
KAFFNY invites filmmakers of all backgrounds to submit for consideration their completed long- and short-format films — fiction or non-fiction — that are relevant to the Korean American community, the Korean diaspora, or Korean identified persons. Filmmakers working in narrative as well as experimental, performance, or music genres are all welcome to apply. (KAFFNY also considers works outside the Korean nexus featuring at least one key creative member of Korean heritage, regardless of the subject matter.)
Submissions are being accepted in the following four categories:
1) FEATURE PROGRAM
Narrative or documentary films, completed January 1, 2012 or later. For films longer than 45 minutes.
2) SHORTS PROGRAM
All genres, completed any date, for films shorter than 45 minutes.
3) SHORTS COMPETITION
All genres, for films shorter than 45 minutes, completed January 1, 2012 or later. Short films screening at the festival in this category are eligible to win the Jury Award and the Audience Award, announced at the close of the festival.
4) VIDEO ART
Non-theatrical or non-broadcast video art (single channel or installation) of any length. To facilitate submission review, your preview materials should include recorded samples of the installation in its environment, if applicable. There is no entry fee for this category.

Submit your film by May 15, 2013 for the lowest submission fee, $10. All submissions will be collected using Withoutabox until July 15th.
