Since 2005 the S.A. HorrorFest has given filmmakers from around the world the rare opportunity to get their productions into a South African cinema in front of a targeted audience.

The event has premiered many movies for both South Africa in particular and the African continent as a whole, and hosted a variety of visiting guests (incl. Resident Evil franchise creators Paul W.S. Anderson and Jeremy Bolt).

The festival expands beyond movies and short films as an all-encompassing Halloween event which also includes the Bloody Parchment literary chapter, Makabra Ensemble live soundtrack performance to classic silent films, Halloween dress-up, audience prizes & give-aways, plus more.
