TheWineLadies

Each year, the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) draws thousands of international filmmakers, stars and media to Toronto and for this year’s festival (Sept. 10-19), wine experts, radio personalities and nationally syndicated newspaper columnists The Wine Ladies are entering the exciting world of web TV with their unique interview series, Talking Wine With The Stars being taped at The Windsor Arms Hotel in Yorkville - “ground zero” for movie stars and fans alike. Sponsored by Jackson-Triggs/Vincor, Talking Wine with the Stars, takes a different look at the cult of celebrity and film by interviewing stars, directors, writers and international film critics and reporters, asking about their own favourite wines, favourite movies about wine (eg: Bottle Shock, Sideways, A Walk in the Clouds, Big Night, Under the Tuscan Sun, etc) and whether a good Merlot or Chardonnay should be enjoyed while watching your favourite heist flicks, comedies or Bertolucci classics Sisters Georgia and Susanne, The Wine Ladies, bring the world of wine direct to the people, and their fun and informative approach is unique, entertaining and engaging. It's not just about wine - it's about lifestyle mixed with the appropriate blend of wine information, human interest and humor. Georgia & Susanne's radio show, heard every Saturday morning 10am-11am on CP24 Radio 1050, has built a loyal following of sophisticated wine aficionados as well as novices and casual consumers. The show is webcast simultaneously on www.CP24.com and then uploaded and heard on The Wine Ladies’ own website (www.TheWineLadies.com). In addition to their radio show, The Wine Ladies’ newspaper column is syndicated across Canada and they are regular contributors and food and wine editors for various lifestyle magazines. The Wine Ladies are frequent guests on local TV shows including City TV’s Breakfast Television, on national network series (Food Network Canada, W-Network) as well as being featured in 60-second vignettes across North America on PBS TV. Where will Talking Wine with the Stars be seen? www.thewineladies.com Edited episodes of The Wine Ladies television show Talking Wine with the Stars, launching in this fall, can be viewed here, with interactive elements and online contests. YouTube Highlights from each day’s interviews will be uploaded overnight to YouTube. www.Independencefilms.ca Our production partner’s website will be featuring highlight reels from Talking Wine with the Stars when the site launches in the fall.
