ARES Film & Media Festival was born in 2009 in Syracuse, Italy.
It promotes a connection between the world of art and culture and that of new technologies and social responsibility.
The main purpose of the ARES (Art and Social Responsibility) Festival is the promotion of the visual culture and multimedia languages as a vehicle for social cohesion through the creation of an open supporting network aimed at encouraging, helping and linking all the expressions and positive experiences which can spread the values of pluralism and general well being in the cultural and social fields.
The Festival organizes a debate on the means of social responsibility through conferences and seminars concerning the social, scientific and environmental fields. It stimulates the meeting of multimedia projects and promotes moments of confrontation on issues concerning the investment in culture as a unique element of communication and building corporate identity and growth of core values in an organization.

The KahBang Film Festival is one portion of the
KahBang Music-Art-Film Festival, happening this August 5th - 13th 2011,
in downtown Bangor, Maine. KahBang is not just another festival. It is a
brand. A brand built around discovering "the next big thing" in the
arts and entertainment worlds.
The KahBang Film Festival is 9 days of films that we think are cool.
Some are cool for different reasons, others are cool for the same
reasons, while still others are both at the same time. If it makes us
laugh, if it makes us think, if someone blackmailed us to screen it, we
share it with you. If you don't like it, we'll give you a refund (please
note: The KahBang Festival does not offer refunds).
At the end of the day, we love films, we love filmmakers with vision,
and we love Milk Duds. Our festival pays tribute to the iconic artists,
the emerging auteur and even the epic fail. We hope you will join us
this August and discover "cool" the way it was meant to be enjoyed.

THE INIGO FILM FESTIVAL (TIFF), is an international celebration of films on topics of faith and spirituality, taking place in rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
TIFF showcases short films made by filmmakers under age 35, covering a wide variety of interpretations on Festival's theme: "City of God." The Festival seeks filmmakers who successfully integrate their religious, spiritual, and social themes with the resources of film as a modern artistic medium.
Organized by the Catholic Church, World Youth Day is attended by millions looking to build bridges between continents, peoples and cultures. As such, accepted
TIFF films screen in front of what may likely be their largest international audience, guaranteeing tremendous exposure. Winning filmmakers will receive transportation to attend the Festival, and the opportunity to promote their films in person. TIFF will be honoring Festival winners with awards and cash prizes totaling 5000 (EUR).
MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The mission of The Inigo Film Festival (TIFF) is summed up by a quote from John Paul II:
"The cinema enjoys a wealth of languages, a multiplicity of styles and a variety of narrative forms that are truly great: from realism to fable, from history to science fiction, from adventure to tragedy, from comedy to news, from animated cartoon to documentary. It thus offers an incomparable storehouse of expressive means for portraying the various areas in which the human being finds himself and for interpreting his inescapable calling to the beautiful, the universal and the absolute."
MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
TIFF films can explore spirituality, the experiences of today's youth, the presence or absence of God in our modern secularized world, or the twin
dimensions of faith and justice. The maximum running time for TIFF films is 20 minutes.
In addition to cash prizes, the Festival will be presenting an Audience Award, and “The Fidel Goetz Emerging Film Maker Award” recognizing the best film by
young film makers who do not have access to professional equipment.
If your film fits the festival, don't miss this chance to take your spiritual, illuminating, or religious film to Madrid...submit to The Inigo Film Festival today! www.tiffestival.org

19 years of contravision film festival
1993 - 2011
contravision - a film festival for those who not only want to passively watch films but want to make films themselves. underground films, independent and inventive, versatile, insubordinate, funny or melancholy, low budget or no budget but with great ambition. contravision doesn’t see itself solely as a competition but aims at increasing media awareness among both the filmmakers and the audience.
at contravision, the audience and not a jury of professionals is asked to chose the winners of the festival. we want to present the audience with highlights of creative film making by unknown directors and future stars with a focus on original ideas and imaginative realisation instead of technical sophistication.
the purpose is to refocus the publics attention on independent short films that are produced off the beaten track of mainstream cinema and therefore are often excluded from the commercial cinema circuits.
