The 2019 West Texas Film Festival poster was created and designed by Odessa College Assistant Professor of Fine Arts, Daniel Sorenson, MFA.
The poster depicts a young woman holding a vintage video camera while standing in front of a windmill, a West Texas icon. Sorenson chose the vintage JVC camcorder as it appeared in the film Back to the Future.

On July 21st, Odesa Opera and Ballet theatre hosted the official closing ceremony of the 9th OIFF. Crystal Swan by Darya Zhuk won the Grand-Prix of the festival and Pity by Babis Makridis the Best Film Award.
