Akimian Vahik
(Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art (NPAK))

The Festival was established in 2003.
Founder and President: Gagik Ghazareh.
Founding Organization: "Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art| foundation

Festival Objectives:

  • Assistance to the authors (regardless of their educational and professional preparedness) who have a wish of self-expression using different cinematographic means (video, cell phone, professional camera)
  • The Festival is laboratory productive, i.e. it provides assistance to the authors during the whole process of the creation of the shot.
  • The Festival is inclined to fill up the gaps the Armenian Cinema has inherited form the USSR.
  • The ideology of the Festival is the openness and sincerity about Cinema. Nothing is forbidden in the Cinema. The Festival creates an atmosphere of healthy discussion and debate.

· The festival advocates the development of modern technologies, the idea of Film Without Film. The quality of the work is seen inside the author and the idea; the technological means are not so important. Cinema is not a "wrapped up" art.

"One Minute – One Shot" is the festival of the authors participating in it.

The festival awards are:

  • Best shot
  • Authors' Choice
  • Special diplomas of the Jury
  • Festival President's Award

The films of the authors are presented by different Armenian TV companies. The Festival provides corresponding information and presents the works in different international Festivals.
