REGISTRATION DIRECTOR
JOB DESCRIPTION The Austin Film Festival, a vibrant cultural arts/entertainment focused non-profit located in the heart of downtown Austin, seeks an innovative and motivated professional. Applicant should have excellent oral & written communication skills and be extremely detail oriented. Successful candidate will be creative and organized and have a desire to be part of an enthusiastic and hard working team. Thorough experience with Filemaker Pro is a must. The position starts from mid July through early November. This year’s festival dates are October 22-29. Salary: $4,500 - $5,000
Before Conference:
--Maintain complete database of conference registrants
--Print registration badges and stuff registration envelopes
--Setup registration site at the conference
--Train volunteers to work registration
During Conference:
--Attend morning staff meetings
--Work registration – opportunity to meet special guests and panelists
--Oversee registration problems/troubleshooting - including misspelled names and lost badges
--Enter new “walk-up” registrants into database
--Work Pre-Registration for next years conference
--Maintain database
After Conference:
--Wrap up materials
--Take down conference registration site
--Complete database - including documenting no-shows, etc.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
--**PROFICIENT and DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE in Filemaker Pro
--**PROFICIENT and DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE in all Microsoft Office Suite programs especially Access, Excel, and Word
--Database management and merging documents experience
--Troubleshooting experience in all of these computer programs a must
--Must remain organized in an unorganized atmosphere
--Extremely detail-oriented
--Must maintain excellent customer relations in a stressful environment
--Must maintain a professional atmosphere in the midst of working long hours
--Must be available the week before, the week of, and the week after the Festival
--Must set-up regular hours to work from the AFF office in the months leading up to the festival.
