About the Director: 

Przemek Młyńczyk (born in 1966 in Białystok) is film and television director, graduate of FAMU Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Czech Republic), Department of Feature Film Directing (1989). He continued his education at the Columbia University, Actors Studio in New York and at the Television Academy of Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles in 1991.
Among his credits there are: “Osiemnaście” full-length feature film, “Warszawskie dzieci” [The Children of Warsaw] (1994), - musical TV play with the songs from the Warsaw Insurrection of 1944. Documentaries: “Studium malarza S.”[Portrait of a painter S.] (1995) about Władysław Ślewiński, Polish painter based in Bretagne, member of the famous Ecole du Pont-Aven and friend of Paul Gauguin, “Dr Wilk” (1996) about Stefan P. Wilk, Polish radiologist from Los Angeles, “Czarownica” [The Witch] (1997) - about the modern witch living in Warsaw helping people in many strange ways, “Olga Boznańska” (2000) - about the most famous Polish woman-painter of the beginning of the 20th Century. (Most of her life she spent in Paris), "Taniec" (2000) - about the energy of dance, "Metrum 2 " and "Metrum 3" - a series of 5-minute experimental films about the artists, “Szansa na życie” [Chance of Life] (2000-2003) - more than 15 episodes of the documentary series about handicapped children for the Polish Television Channel 1, "Ludzie z chóru gospel" [The Gospel Choir] (2006)- the documentary showing the popularity of the gospel music in Poland, "Performerki" (The Performers] (2006) - about the famous Polish performers, Sędzia Główny Group
Przemek has also directed documentary radio plays in the Polish Radio II, commercials and music videos.
Since 1990 he runs the Young Cinema Foundation, an independent centre for film studies and production. He is also the Artistic Director of Euroshorts, European Festival of Short Films in Warsaw.

Before joining the Salesians, Przemek Kawecki (Kawa) was a skinhead. The unexpected trip to the Tatra mountains with his friend, has changed his life totally The film tells the story of a young Pole who, having all the possibilities of career, desides to become a monk. The current reality of Poland has a lot of problems that he will be forced to solve. Some of them are too hard at the moment.
