Film Sales Support (FSS) for their European films at SundanceFor the fourth time in a row since 2005, European sales agents and production companies are making good use of Film Sales Support (FSS) for their European films at Sundance. FSS, European Film Promotion’s (EFP) initiative to help increase the visibility of European film in the Americas offers grants up to €5,000 per film to top up promotional campaigns. The support allows for extra sales activities, for example, hiring a publicist or a scout to target local press and buyers more effectively. FSS is supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union since 2004. Four of the supported films run in World Competition sections, which are eligible for the World Cinema Jury Prizes. Two of the films screening in World Dramatic Competition are from Germany: Veit Helmer’s, Absurdistan and Dennis Gansel’s, The Wave. Another German film, Alone in Four Walls by Alexandra Westmeier, and Dutch film, Recycle by Mahmoud al Massad, are vieing for prizes in World Documentary Competition. For the first time this year, World Cinema Competition films are eligible to receive the same range of awards presented to U.S. films screening in competition, including Directing Awards, Excellence in Cinematography Awards, and Documentary Editing Awards. Other supported films screen in New Frontier such as cutting edge animated stories, Fear(s) of the Dark, by various comic book artists and Eat for this is my Body (Michelange Quay). Park City at Midnight shows Oliver Blackburn’s Donkey Punch and Sean Ellis‘, The Broken. Transsiberian, a thriller by Brad Anderson, is part of Premieres, Sundance’s showcase of contemporary independent cinema. The UK-Irish co-production, The Escapist (Rupert Wyatt) screens in the same section. Former EFP Shooting Stars have roles in various supported films: Melvil Poupaud (The Broken), Eduardo Noriega (Transsiberian), Jürgen Vogel and Max Riemelt (The Wave). I am not claiming that indiainfoline.com has a company policy of being un-ethical, maybe they just happened to hire an ethically challenged sales agent/sales agency.outsource sales

Looking for Emma "
January 17, 2008 - 15:43
The director and scriptwriter, Alex Quiroga, us presents hisyour last work " Looking for Emma ". The filmmaker that I impress us with " Torn Broken illusions ", the full-lenght film on 11M, now us enters in a mysterious history full of intrigues and suspense. Set at present of our country, this new offer narrates the history of a young woman of British origin, who after an accident of cars loses the memory(report). On the awakening in the hospital she is accompanied By Julia, a former companion of study .
That protects her jealous from the frantic search initiated around it. Emma will have to try to recover his your) real identity but also it,she will have to discover that neither nothing nor nobody is what seems. A movie where the not alone argument stands out for his(her, your) intelligence but for supporting until the end the doubt in the spectator of whom it is what will happen. A suspense that approaches very much that of the big North American productions but that in this case has much more value for treating itself about independent Spanish cinema.
