"A FESTIVAL WIFE" CURRENTLY SERIALIZED ON FEST21.COM

Henry
Dean, veteran publicist, resists retirement by holding onto his PR job
for the San Lorenzo Film Festival, where for twenty-eight years he has
stayed at the Hotel Medici, maintaining a long-running affair with his
beloved Leticia, one of the hotel's chamber maids. But Henry's job (and
love affair) depends upon looking after the Festival's guest of honor -
a cantankerous older film director who only needs a little press - and
the task is proving much more trouble than anticipated. On top of that,
Henry has agreed to place a story in Variety about a new film company
formed by a shady group of financiers including San Lorenzo's leading
citizen, Count Rassi. But that deal, and his whole PR strategy, could
blow up, now that Henry's ex-wife Angie, a documentary filmmaker, has
arrived in San Lorenzo with the intention of digging into ugly rumors
concerning Rassi's Nazi past. Complicating everything, Rassi has fallen
in love with Nora Callaway, a reporter who already has a husband back
home, and a lover at the Festival - world-renowned journalist Charles
Mitchell - enjoying their annual rendezvous in San Lorenzo.

"Rassi is wonderful," Nora was saying over breakfast on the Medici terrace.
It was well past nine. She was in a state of high excitement. On the
table beside her coffee cup and cinnamon bun was a script.

"Aren't you going to the Besson screening?"

area open to all the professionals registered with the Festival de
Cannes and the Marché du Film. The Short Film Corner proposes films
from all over the world, most previously unseen, as well as the films
included in the Official Competition, the Cinéfondation, the Director's

THE GALWAY FILM FLEADH 7th-12th July 2009
The Galway Film Fleadh, now in it's 21st year, takes place every July
and screens the best of New Irish, European and International features
and documentaries as well as welcoming a host of filmmakers,
International programmers and other industry delegates. It also
platforms excellence in filmmaking with retrospectives, public
interviews, tributes and masterclasses

PALM SPRINGS SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL June 23 – 29, 2009
This celebrated event is the largest festival of its kind in America,
showcasing over 320 short films each year from more than 40 countries,
with a library of more than 2,700 films available to film buyers,
industry and press in the Film Market running concurrently with the
Festival. The Festival includes twenty awards in six competitive
categories, with award cash or film production prizes in each category
( over $100,000 worth of prizes, in all). Call for Entries - Final
