NISI MASA: Call for filmmaking projects

Making short films in a submarine? Creating a floating screen that travels the Danube? Create scripts together and shoot them while biking across the Alps with an international team? Filmmaking on a science station? NISI MASA: European Network for Young Cinema launches a call for visionary, original and adventurous filmmaking projects. We invite resourceful, creative and imaginative project managers to develop and realize filmmaking projects in the framework of Europe’s biggest network of young cinema.

The general aim of the projects is to engage young filmmakers across Europe to develop, improve and challenge their filmmaking skills in practicebased international projects. The project could have an educational purpose, be a collaborative filmmaking effort, cinematic exploration of a specific theme, a new workshop concept, or anything you might conceive.

Guidelines and requirements:

a practical filmmaking project that engages at least 15 participants and is open to European nationals or residents
a project manager(s) who oversee(s) the preparation and execution of the project
The association applying to make a project with NISI MASA should become its member (read more about membership here)

NISI MASA offers you:

Consultancy and support in European funding for the project Partnership possibilities through its 31 members
 Visibility and dissemination

Applications should include:

 a description of the project
a work plan of the project with schedule
the CV of the project manager(s)
a personal motivation letter of the project manager
if applicable, a description of the association (not already a member of NISI MASA) a preliminary budget for the project with expenses and income

Send your project proposal to europe@nisimasa.com with “Project proposal” as subject until the 15th of March 2015.

The submitted projects will be evaluated by the NISI MASA Supervisory Board and staff. Evaluation guidelines include the feasibility, innovation and multiculturalism of the project. NISI MASA will accept 12 projects per year. Upon being accepted as a NISI MASA project, a full partnership will be established and the project and the budget will be revised accordingly. NISI MASA holds the right not to select any of the submitted projects for collaboration.
