Last night's 'Glitch' was wonderful-the animation by Eric Leiser, and music by his brother Jeff, were both superb, and Jay Masonek gave a poignant and very expressive performance as himself! Truly was glad I made it to the opening night to see this stunner-the animation really was spectacular! The film was unusual as far as having a kind of flowing structure- the best way I can describe it is as a somewhat dream-like collage of symbolic images, natural beauty, and a yearning for more innocent days juxtaposed against the very real struggle of 3 young artists to find meaning in their lives. The Leiser brothers infuse the film with their own spiritual insights at various points in the film, and the images often used in the animated scenes reflect this, but it is done in a way that serves the interwoven stories of the three cousins as their lives play out on screen....
