After her husband’s suicide, it is the widow’s turn to rearrange everybody’s lives. The woman struggles to keep the family united and her business running. Her family cannot escape contacting the violent gangs of Manila. But things don’t go as she hopes for. Lamangan visited the festival to introduce “Bhoy Intsik”, Special Award of the Orient Express jury.

A touching story about a very old woman who says she is ready to die and meet her deceased husband.  But things are not going to be exactly as she thought. A new humanist feature by Eduardo Roy Jr, one of the most awarded Phiippino directors whom we know from “Pamilya Ordinario”, screened in Fantasporto 2017.

In Taiwan still under the communist regime, a school fights repression organizing a book club. Sooner or later, the monster will come to them. The first feature of the director,, already awarded Best Film at the Golden Horse festival.

Exploring the terrors of the night, two teenagers venture beyond the forbidden tunnel. When they disappear, strange events start happening and all inhabitants of the village seem to know more than they say.   From the director of “The Grudge”.

An experimental/art-leaning short, screendance film in which four human characters appear stuck in an interior, futuristic landscape outside of time. As they struggle with themselves as well as each other, they seem to reach upon dance as an instinctive/conceptual way out of an inescapable void.
