Ukraine at the European Film Market
The European Film Market has started. It includes several events organized by the Odesa International Film Festival, as well as events with the participation of the Ukrainian delegation.In particular, on February 17, the Ukrainian booth will open, which will present a catalog of Ukrainian production companies (Production Guide of Ukraine) and present opportunities for cooperation with Ukraine in the field of cinema. The following events will take place according to the following schedule: 17 February 17:00-18:15 SPOTLIGHT on Ukrainian Producers – the presentation of Ukrainian producers organized by the Ukrainian Institute. 18 February 12:00-13:00 Panel discussion “Moving on: Ways to (co-)fund Ukrainian Audiovisual Content”. The joint event was organized with funding from Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg as part of an initiative to support the Ukrainian film industry at the European Film Market. 17:00-18:00 The presentation of the 12 Ukrainian film projects selected by OIFF: projects of feature films, documentary feature films and serials. Participation of Ukrainian productions at the Berlin Film Market is supported by USAID Competitive Economy Program in Ukraine (USAID CEP). The initiative is being implemented in cooperation with Goethe-Institut. 19 February 13:00-13:30 Awarding the Executive Director of the Berlin International Film Festival with the award of the Molodist KIFF 15:00-17:00 Meeting of EFAD members with representatives of Netflix 20 February 10:30-12:00 #UCANCOPRODUCE event (Embassy of Canada in Germany). The event is organized by the Ukrainian Film Association (UKA) together with Telefilm Canada and the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA) 14:30 EFAD meeting on supporting Ukrainian films 15:15-16:30 Filming this Reality symposium, organized at EFM in collaboration with the goEast festival. 21 February 9:30-12:30 Meeting of the EFAD General Assembly with the participation of Maryna Kuderchuk, head of the State Film Agency of Ukraine 14:30-17:00 EFAD and CAACI meeting (Latin America) with the participation of Maryna Kuderchuk, head of the State Film Agency of Ukraine 22 February 17:00-18:30 Berlinale Talents 24 February 18:15 Red carpet in solidarity with Ukraine. The jury of the Berlinale also includes Ukrainian film specialists. Director Kateryna Gornostai became one of the members of the jury in the "Generation 14plus" programme. Program Director of Kyiv International Short Film Festival Sasha Prokopenko will evaluate films that will be shown in the Teddy Award queer programme. And director Olena Rubashevska joined the FIPRESSI jury. The Ukrainian National Stand was organized jointly by the Ukrainian State Film Agency, the Film Industry Association of Ukraine, Film Industry Association of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Motion Picture Association and with the financial support of German Films with the assistance of the European Film Market, will work within EFM. EFM's measures to support the presence of the Ukrainian film industry are co-funded by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
