World Arts Film Festival“Filmmakers are communicators. With the increased reach of technology, our world becomes instantly smaller and instantly more accessible, bringing all people into closer contact with each other. We are here to be inspired by each other.” -Karen Sadler, Founder The World Arts Film Festival presented by the nonprofit World Arts Education highlights the creativity of a new generation of filmmakers inviting both established masters and first-time directors. A part of its global outreach, the festival brings diverse groups of filmmakers of all ages and all backgrounds, including those with special needs, to meet and mentor each other and their audiences. The goal is to help provide resources for filmmakers to develop as artists and achieve success in the film industry. The festival elevates the unique visual 'voices' of film artists and how they see, hear, smell, feel and touch the world. The World Arts Film Festival recognizes top films and the talents that create them, presenting a showcase of quality work and an inclusive venue for exploring the filmmaking process. Created by individuals in New York, Los Angeles and Jacksonville, Florida, the festival is supported by a growing network of advisors around the world. The 2014 host city of Jacksonville, Florida has over eight miles of pristine coast along the Atlantic Ocean with white sand beaches and a long, proud history in the film industry dating back to some of cinema’s early silents and stars, Charlie Chaplin and Jean Harlow. Location for the three-day event is The Conference Center At The Main Library in Downtown, Jacksonville, Florida. Activities include over 100 short film screenings, industry panels, educational workshops, parties and awards. It's All One World Now...Connect With The World Arts Film Festival. |
