The INPA institute is a public educational and research institution in Manaus, Brazil. It was founded in 1952, with the purpose of providing a more extensive knowledge about the Brazilian Amazon Region. Most part of the research focus on the main topics of ecology, molecular ecology, zoology, botany, tropical agriculture and tropical pisciculture. A collection of Amazonian vertebrate and invertebrate taxa, and vascular plants are also found in the institute.

Our visit was centered around the symbolic ceremony wherte the recently found Sloth became a new name (Iago = "loved by the humanity") by its godfathers (actor Bruno Garcia and actress Christiane Torloni attending).

We were lucky to witness the feeding of the baby dolphins.
