Dawn Westlake's "Games People Play" received its 38th film festival acceptance this week at the Moab International Film Festival in Moab, Utah, USA for November 20-23, 2015.

Westlake traveled to the Grand Canyon by rail from Williams, AZ on January 21st and then drove in the Navajo Tribal Park of Monument Valley, UT later in the month to get the footage, using the GoPro Hero3 and Hero3+ on a car mount.

PetDance is a one-day short film festival in Salt Lake City, Utah, dedicated to all things animal.
Submission deadlines:
Early bird ($25/submission): Nov. 30
Regular ($35/submission): Dec. 31.

With categories ranging from educational to dramatic, these animal-centric films will touch on the different ways our lives intersect with animals and the joys they bring to our lives. All species invited!
Coinciding with the Sundance Film Festival in neighboring Park City, the first annual PetDance will take place January 24, 2015. Prizes will be awarded to the top three films in each category: Educational, Dramatic, Funny, and Youth-Produced.
Proceeds for the festival go to the world-renown Best Friends Animal Society to help companion animals find forever homes.

It’s Thursday, the opening day of the Sundance Film Festival. Main Street is a breeze to drive down and the public parking lots are free - as opposed to the harsh $20 they’ll charge starting Friday. Now I know why a local store clerk at the nearby outlet mall told my friend everyone in Park City hates us festival folk. At $20 for parking, I’d be bitter too.
