PLEIN LES YEUX – Frans Film Festival is an annual event dedicated to French cinema and culture, founded in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) in 2015. Through French and French-speaking cinema, culture and language, PLEIN LES YEUX aims to widening cultural offer, knowledge and education in the Netherlands, and connecting different people  and reinforcing their understanding and appreciation in the Netherlands.The festival collaborates with institutions, associations, schools and universities, companies and people sharing these objectives.

The first edition of PLEIN LES YEUX – Frans Film Festival is held from 3 to 7 June 2015 at the FilmHallen in Amsterdam.

For the first time Meike, an outsider is invited. As with all friendships, in this thirty-something group of friends some secrets are shared, and others remain untold.

A group of close friends and family members from South-America gather together in a small apartment in Amsterdam for a farewell party. The party is thrown for Diego, who will return to Chile together with his son after visiting his brother Pablo for a month. Pablo has lived in the Netherlands with his Dutch wife and daughter since he fled his country in the late 70’s.

A new film sector institute in the Netherlands

Tonight, the Golden Calves, the Grand Prize of the Dutch Film 2007, were awarded during the Gala Dutch Film Gala. The presentation, hosted by Paul de Leeuw, was broadcast live on the Internet on www.filmfestival.nl.
