The Festival International du Film d'Aubagne is dedicaded to the young cinematographic creation and the sound & music creation for film.
Different programs are also suggested sucj as debates, Master Classes of composition, most of them dealing with the sound&music for image. ATTENTION FILMMAKERS!
The Samain du cinéma fantastique is seeking feature length films and short films to be showcased in the fift annual festival. Although all submissions will be considered, the festival is particularly interested in fantasy/thriller/sci-fi/horror films. The International Young Audience Film Festival Ale Kino! has been founded for young and very young people who treat the cinema as a journey into the unknown, a challenge and a thrilling adventure. It shows films which avoid cultural and commercial clichés. Each year, there are a number of films for children and young people which, thanks to their sincerity, artistry and original outlook on the world of the young generation, escape excessive didacticism or mindless entertainment. The New Orleans Horror Film Festival is a festival created by horror filmmakers for horror filmmakers. As film auteurs ourselves, we appreciate and admire the blood, sweat and tears that go into making movies, especially on an independent level. - THE HEINRICH award for European debut & second features (10.000 Euro)
- THE LEO for the best combination of sound/music and image in a short film (2.000 Euro)
- the French-German youth award KINEMA for the best debut film
Main award of the festival is THE EUROPA for outstanding performances of a European actress or actor and her or his contribution to European film culture (10.000 Euro). Hanna Schygulla, Bruno Ganz and John Hurt received the EUROPA in recent years.
The festival's second focus is "Music & Film" with film concerts, a portray of a composer and a music master class. Reknown composers like Michael Nyman, Carl Davis, Craig Armstrong and Zbigniew Preisner have been guests of this programme.
Other programmes are "New International Cinema", "New German Film" and an extensive short fiml programme.
The 4th
edition of Cape Winelands Film Festival (CWFF), which is scheduled to take
place from 16–26 March, 2011, in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, has launched its
call for entries today. Feature films, Short Films and Documentaries

Located in one of the hot spots of Singapore, Singafest incorporates never before seen films with food from that region. For two weeks the building is converted to a festival haven, where movie-goers and foodies can go and delight their seven senses.
Whether it is a dramatic or comedic piece, we want screenwriters and filmmakers to share their great stories in regards to the world of sports. We felt that creating this festival would give the many sports fanatics out there an outlet for their love of competition.
Some people have asked us to define "sports." Well, we want to include any subject matter that deals with mental and physical competition for the sake of winning a prize (and not killing anyone along the way to do it).
