Geek Glory At 2011 Comic-Con

user
Any event that can bring together such high power heavyweights as Steven Spielberg, Peter Jackson and a host of stellar movie stars is the definition of clout. The confab, originally a geeky celebration of comic book culture, has become the go-to place for film and television series with comic book origins and fantasy/supernatural/phantasmagoric films in ge...

July 4th Weekend: Prime Time Real Estate

Friday, July 6------The July 4th Weekend (which this year is being celebrated from Wednesday, July 4 through Sunday, July 9) is one of the box office bonanza weekends of the year. In a summer that has seen very few box office champs (SPIDER-MAN 3 and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 3 the obvious exceptions), studios are looking to films opening this critical week to give a necessary transfusion to Hollywood box office coffers. Just mid-week through this critical long weekend, the sci-fi action film TR...

WOW!  The Transformers preimere and block party last night at the LA Film Festival was OFF THE HOOK!  What an event.  The movie premiered in 5 theatres.  It was a little chaotic down there but with a "life-sized" Bubblebee guarding the "red" (it was blue) carpet, it was allll good!  This was my second time seeing this movie and I have to tell you, I loved it the second time just as much as I loved it the first time!  The crowd reaction is priceless.  People cheer and c...

My favorite star sighting of all time... Transformers!!

When I came around the corner at lunch today and saw the Transformers trucks parked around the fountain, I literally felt like I was seeing Madonna, Elvis, James Dean and Marilyn Monroe!!  LOL  I went back and got my camera!  I also took some video which will be uploaded soon. I am so amazed how they could make this big, blockbuster movie with out of this world effects (and I mean OUT OF THIS WORLD) and still create CHARACTERS that I developed strong feelings for!  I mean, I feel like I *...
