'Intent' Overtakes Transformers 2 and Spider-Man 4 on search engines request for films still in development
Movie fans are buzzing about the new independent feature film, Intent. Intent is the highest ranked film in development on Internet Movie Database (www.imdb.com), which ranks films based on search requests. Intent has received more traffic and searches on Imdb than Transformers 2 and Spider-Man 4 combined. Since its launch in October, approximately 1.5 million people have also visited www.intentmovie.com, the official website of Intent. During December, the site had a record month, with over 900,000 visitors. The screenplay of the heavily anticipated suspense thriller has been described as a combination of Silence of the Lambs and CSI. The story begins with a kidnapping in a suburban Ohio neighborhood and leads police on a manhunt that comes full circle. Critics are already raving about the movie's screenplay. The writing has been called "brilliant and visually stunning" at screenplay competitions in London and Toronto. Sundance recognized it as "a wild ride with a knock-out punch." "We are thrilled with the positive feedback that we've received and appreciate all the fans who have visited our website," said Tim Crockett, Intent Screenwriter. "We look forward to finalizing the cast in February." Producers are in talks with potential cast members which could include such names as James Gandolfini from The Sopranos, actor Joaquin Phoenix and actress Ashley Judd. Filming is scheduled to begin this summer. For more information about the movie, please visit www.intentmovie.com.
