The 51st Rose d'Or Awards Festival came to a successful close today with the announcement of the Golden Rose Award-winners for 2012. The celebrations began this afternoon at the Awards Ceremony in the Festival Hotel Schweizerhof with the presentation of the Golden Roses in each of the 12 competition categories, as well as performances from comedian Rob Spence and singer/songwriter Henrik Belden.

The Rose d’Or Festival, held annually in Lucerne, Switzerland, draws the best of the year's entertainment and television programming. With more than 40 countries participating, the festival has become one of the most important networking platforms for the onscreen entertainment community, and as such attracts leading figures from the industry, providing a unique opportunity for discussion, debate and behind-the-scenes deal making. Newest programmes are sent from all around the world and an international jury is given the task narrowing the field to select the nominees, and finally the winners.
