The Pärnu Int. Documentary Film Festival, founded in 1987, is the oldest annual film festival in Estonia.
The aim of the festival in general is to support cultural survival of peoples. Only documentary films of high value and quality, recording human activities in social, historical or ecological context are accepted for competition screenings.

Camila Ponte, a writer of Argentinian origin, is on an exhausting promotional tour for her first novel, a huge success. A mysterious woman, Vega, approaches her after a long and boring press conference and leads her out to a strange establishment, a hotel built over an old convent of franciscan monks. What follows is the story of a kidnapping for which there is neither a ransom asked, nor date of liberation, and on which the victim seems to agree.
