The FilmFestival Cottbus - Festival of Eastern European Cinema will increase the prize money. This is to be announced by Festival Director Roland Rust on the occasion of the reception at the befriended 44th International Film Festival in the Czech town of Karlovy Vary. An abridged version of the Seattle Polish Film Festival closed out on Sunday, May 6, with a screening of the highly controversial "We Are All Christs" by veteran maverick director Marek Koterski. The twenty-second edition of WIFF will take place October 6-15, 2006. The programme will include about 140 films from 48 countries, almost all of them Polish premieres.
