proudly presents TRANSFORMING STORIES INTERNATIONAL CHRISTIAN FILM FESTIVAL in
association with Cape Town 2010 in October 2010! What makes this festival so
unique is firstly that it is the first International Christian Film Festival to
be held in South Africa and secondly, through the partnership and association
with the Lausanne movement the international Christian community and the
majority of the Body of Christ will be involved in showcasing the winning films
to over 4500 International Christian leaders from over 200 regions in the
world. This will be one of the largest marketing opportunities any film could
receive.

The purpose of
the festival is to showcase powerful, inspiring, faith affirming, evangelistic,
transforming stories in the form of film to the world and the Body of Christ.
We want to emphasize how the power of storytelling can impact the lives of
people and shape a specific culture.

 

The following Six Themes have been
chosen for the festival submissions in 2010:

1.  The Gospel- Truth:
Making the case for the Truth of Christ in a globalistic and pluralized world.

2.  The Gospel- Reconciliation:
Building the Peace of Christ in our divided and broken world.

3.  The World- Faiths:
Living the Love of Christ with people of other faiths.

4.  The World- Priorities:
Discerning the Will of Christ for 21st century world evangelization.

5.  The Church- Integrity:
Calling the
Church of Christ back to
humility, integrity and simplicity.

6.  The Church- Partnership:
Partnering in the Body of Christ towards a new global equilibrium.

 

The following Categories and entry fees is applicable for 2010:

Feature Films:                     60 – 120 min (over 60
minutes running time)            $ 100
(ZAR 800)

Documentaries:                   20 - 70 min   (over 20 minutes running time)  $ 75   (ZAR
600)

Short Films:                          4 – 35 min    (under 35 minutes running time) $ 40   (ZAR 320)

Short-Shorts:                       15 – 90 sec  (under 90 seconds running time) $ 40   (ZAR 320)

    July 2010 - Semi Finalists selected.

    August 2010 - Finalists made known to public.

    August 2010- Ticket bookings for public festival open through Computicket

    21 October 2010- National South African Festival Program in 6 theatres in
    5 cities showcasing the finalists.
  • 17-23
    October 2010- Cape Town
    2010
    Lausanne
    Congress Film Festival Program in
    Cape Town.
  • 21
    October 2010- Award Ceremony Event at Cape Town 2010 to
    Lausanne
    Congress Attendees.
  • 22 October
    2010- Award Ceremony Open to Public in
    Cape Town.

 

Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival’s
Awards
will be presented to the individuals or teams responsible
for the winning films on October 22, 2010 during the Transforming Stories International Christian Film Festival
Awards ceremony in
Cape Town, South Africa. Awards
will include: International Audience Award, UD ($)5000 for Best Feature Film,
USD ($)1000 for Best Documentary, USD ($)500 for Best Short Film, and USD ($)500
for Best Short Short Film.

 

By submitting
your film, you acknowledge that you are the sole author and owner of the film,
or if you are not the sole author, you have secured all necessary and appropriate
rights, written permissions, and releases in connection with submitting the
film. In particular, all music and other rights must be cleared to enable Transforming Stories International
Christian Film Festival to screen the film during the film festival period of
October 15-23, 2010 in
South Africa.

 

Please read
through the attached Rules, Terms & Conditions. Please complete the
attached entry form & get all relevant material ready to be sent to us
(confirm with us if there is any uncertainty). After paying your entry fee, make a copy of your entry form
and include it in your package. For international shipments, please indicate on
the customs document that the contents are for promotional purposes. Please
make the value of the shipment as low as possible and insure it accordingly.
Ship the package to one of the two indicated addresses (please see Rules, Term
& Conditions). Please ensure you get a tracking / reference

number, fax or “scan to e-mail” your entry form with the shipment reference number
to info@transformingstories.org  We will notify your accordingly and confirm
when your material has arrived. We will keep you informed during the process.
