WatchOut! film festival will take place 24 - 27. 05. 2016. The projections will be held at Museum of Communist party in Tetovo, Macedonia. The Festival is open to any form, budget or techniques. However the films will be splited in three main cathegories:
- Short Feature Film,
- Documentary Film and
- Experimental & Animation section.
From each category one film will be awarded from a professional jury.
Aditional award will be given for a film under topic “Spaces”. In this category one film will be selected from all the films in the competition categories mentioned above.
One author can apply with more films. The winning authors of the competition program will be invited to take a part of the festival. We are fully covering accommodation costs, and travel costs up to 300 Euro for the three winning films authors from each cathegory.
The proffesional jury will rate the films and will choose the winners. The selection process will be after closing the application process, prior to the festival.
During the festival several workshops and lectures are organized. Film students, amateurs or just film fans will get a chance to share with internationally recognized film producers/ screenwriters/ directors. During three days, all the lectures and workshops will be free of charge. Also we can cover accommodation costs for people who would like to attend the workshops and events who are not from Tetovo region.
Requirements & rules:
If your film contains spoken language it must have English subtitles
You can only apply with complete application form that can be submited trough www.watchoutfilmfest.com – incomplete applications cannot be accepted
Deadline is 30.04.2016
We don't have any restrictions about length, genre or subject of the film
It is your responsibility to secure clearance from the copyright holders of any copyrighted materials included within the submitted film. The festival organizers will not be held responsible for the unauthorized inclusion of any copyrighted materials within or relating to the submitted film
