About the Director: 

Bryan Darling is an award winning independent filmmaker based in San Francisco. Since the age of 17, he has written and directed five short films exploring human relationships in urban life. Bryan’s work spans across mediums such as photography, cinema, and new media. His latest two films, Who Leads and Love is Not Enough, raise questions on commitment, love, and gender roles in modern gay culture. Bryan is also the co-founder of Tornsprocket, a not-for-profit focused on new forms of production and distribution of queer film through social community involvement.

About the Producer: 
Megan A. Vrolijk began working in film and video at seventeen as a production assistant at Ghost Ranch Films in Houston, Texas. Since arriving in San Francisco, she has received a BA in Visual Studies from California College of the Arts and an MA in Cinema Studies from San Francisco State University. In addition to presenting at numerous conferences and completing her thesis “Male Anxiety and Lusty Lesbians: Contemporary Lesbian Viewership of 1970s Lesbian Vampire Films,” she is the producer of Who Leads and Love is Not Enough. Currently, she is the managing director and cofounder of the not-for-profit Tornsprocket, which is dedicated to the innovation, production, and distribution of modern queer stories.

Film synopsis: 
Within a few hours, one couple ends and another begins. Adam is leaving Trent, ending their dysfunctional relationship. Jordan, a mover and recent San Francisco transplant, crosses paths with their roommate Spencer. Their intense connection is questioned as they watch the disintegration of Adam and Trent. Who leads when four men come together?
