About the Director:

A seasoned First Assistant Director, Ted Campbell has over thirty independent films under his belt including the Sundance award winner QUINCEANERA. His love of filmmaking began in high school, where Ted made many Super8 horror films in his backyard working as director, writer, cameraman, actor, special effects supervisor and editor. Ted would eventually land in the film program at Emerson College in Boston.

After completing a degree in film production, Ted moved to Los Angeles where he found work at notable independent company Artisan Entertainment. The time spent at Artisan taught Ted much about the inner workings of the Hollywood independent system. And though an incredible experience, Ted longed for the high energy of a movie set.

Ted made the move to assistant director where his well-rounded knowledge of all facets of the filmmaking process became an asset. Ted’s love for film ensures that his participation as 1st AD is the true right hand man to the director. Not only overseeing the schedule and day-to-day operation of the set, Ted works to ensure that the director’s creative vision is realized.

During this time, Ted continued to write screenplays and plan for the career goal of directing his own material. Now at a crossroads in his career, Ted is making the very concerted effort to get a feature film of his own before the cameras.
