About the Director:

Rejane Ruby is a young twenty year old director. Having been told stories since a very early age by her dad, an actor , she has developed an inner attraction to cinema as an art. For 3 years now she has been successfully combining this activity with her studies. She is majoring in physics. She was member of the national youth jury of Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in 2011. Her art relies on a very visual form of cinema; creating a deep, thought-provoking universe, full of symbols and promoting her own philosophical thoughts. Thus her very first short film, « Forêt Vierge », has been selected to be presented during the Short film Corner in Cannes, 2011. This 14-minute-long experimental movie, shot in DVCAM and finally completed in October 2010, deals with the relationship established between an artist and his artwork (trailer : http://vimeo.com/24166344). Her second short film creation, « Nosce te ipsum » , continues to explore for 17 minutes the depths of her universe, full of creativity, this time raising the delicate question of self acceptance. Here is its trailer : http://vimeo.com/35748101.
