About the Director: 

Half English half Austrian Tony is a London based Filmmaker. After directing numerous plays during high school, Tony moved to New York to study filmmaking at the New York film academy. He followed that by a degree in Film and Video at the London College of Communication. Trained as a cinematographer Tony has shot a dozen of shorts in every possible format, from the documentary “Educating a Nation” in Pakistan to the dark comedy “My Tumor and I”. In the last 3 years Tony has moved his focus on writing and directing and Chrysalis is his directing Debut. In 2008 Tony has co-founded with Gigi Berardi Soul Rebel Films.

About the Producer: 
Gigi is a freelance producer and co-founder of Soul Rebel Films, currently based in London. In 1999 after a diploma in accountancy he decided to follow his true passion and moved to London to pursue a filmmaking career. Following a Diploma in Media production, Gigi enrolled at the University of the Arts in the Film and Video course specializing in Producing. Over his academic years Gigi has worked extensively in collaboration with local authority bodies on several international productions. In January 2006, after working on numerous short film productions across Italy, Austria, Brazil, Thailand, and England, Gigi learned of the Burmese struggle and decided to move to the Thailand/Burma border where he spent the following two years researching and collecting archive footage for the production of Freedom from Fear a feature documentary about the non-violent movement of Burma. (currently in post-production) In 2008, upon returning to London, Gigi teamed with Tony Clark to co-found Soul Rebel Films, an emerging production company that focuses on creating documentaries centered around those countries that lack freedom of speech and other political injustices.

Film synopsis: 
Peter and his parents arrive on their holiday hut in the idyllic Tyrolean Alps. Although seemingly a happy family, not everything is well under the picture-perfect surface. Peter's parents are unusually quiet, father seems tense and mother is becoming more and more distant. Something is wrong, yet Peter isn't let in on the cause. One fine day his father sets out for an unexpected hike in the mountains, taking the boy with him. As they walk towards the snowy peak of the mountain, the truth that has been carefully kept from Peter is slowly revealed...
