About the Director:

Matt Taabu grew up in Kenya, but has spent the most of his life living in the
UK, where he studied film at degree level. A writer/director, he is one of the
few people to have been commissioned on four occasions by the UK Film
Council's Digital Shorts scheme via his regional funding agency Screen

His work revolves around exploring issues of social and cultural identity, with an emerging track record that shows he's not shy of tackling difficult subject matter, or opening it up to a wide audience. His films have won awards both in the UK and abroad. He is Managing Director of his production company Angel Ego Films, which has worked with a number of high profile corporate clients, and has directed and produced music videos.
