Seven Point of View About Love7 Points of View Brief Synopsis: Seven portraits, seven Windows opening onto the lives of various caracters who share similar circunstances. This film shows individuals from all over the world who express themselves in different ways, all drawn to live and compelled to stay in the same city, Madrid.Seven disparate ways of living, seven different ways of laughing and crying of fighting and hating of thinking and dreaming. Synopsis: Between the tables of a bar, seven different stories come together all at the same moment and all without knowing of the others. These seven stories explore the idea of love in multifarious unusual ways, through different languages and particular points of view. Letter to Africa: A young african inmigrant walks through the city with a young boy in his arms, trying to sell his music and hoping for a big professional break. He thinks about his family and loved ones back in Africa and writtes them a letter. A dream, a life.... The Specialist: A single mother an only child, a psychiatrist and a specialist. It explores the sexual problems of being in love with one´s parents and trying to find them in one´s sexual partners. The transformation of a child´s love into that of a lover. Portobelo: A journalist and unique woman. Magic and intrigue in a society unprepared to accept people who are unusual. This story talks about “The portobelo witch”. Passion: Passion, love, sex, faith... Where can passion take us?... In this story two worlds collide and another is made in the home. A young australian photographer and a young beautiful spanish girl are sharing their lives; but one cannot live without suspicios and jealousy, leading to disastrous consequences. Without Conditions: Two women. One from Paris hight -society, the other from the executive world of Madrid business. Two totally different worlds meet and unite. Two women who look into each other´s eyes and are forced to share their lives, are then made to choose separate paths to the future. The stranger: How far must one go to make oneself forget? One man and one great love. A man looking for a different experience each night, hoping to create, from all the bodies, faces, arms and legs of his lovers, the one great love, that he once lost. Now I see you: Loneliness and love. The two sides of one coin. Darkness, through which blindness finds true love. A woman in danger. A lonely man. En este contexto, como parte de la Sección Oficial del 34 Festival del Cinema Latino Americano de Trieste, a la película española “Bernard” de Alex Quiroga, le fue otorgado el Premio Especial del Jurado dado que sensibiliza sobre la necesidad de incluir a todas las personas consideradas “diversas”.
Hernán y Marie Christine son dos hermanos que viven en Pátzcuaro, Michoacán, México. Un día cualquiera, reciben una llamada avisando que su padre, que vive en Francia, está en fase terminal de Alzheimer. Sorprendidos, después de no saber nada de él durante años, luego de que abandonara sin más a la madre de ambos, Hernán y Marie Christine deberán tomar una rápida decisión para ir a verlo o no. La película te hace reflexionar: Todos tarde o temprano llegamos a ser ancianos.
Esta película es una gran historia emotiva inspirada en un hecho real que nos hace reflexionar sobre nuestra propia vida. Dado que el tiempo transcurre para todos por igual, nadie escapa a ser mayor algún día y vivir la madurez no es una tarea fácil si no respetamos los auténticos valores como la solidaridad y la empatía hacia nuestros semejantes. Vivimos en una sociedad de descarte, como lo dice el Papa, donde los niños aún por nacer, los ancianos y los jóvenes “estorban a la sociedad” por esa prisa de ir adelante, buscando un progreso, muchas veces producto de un capitalismo salvaje. Películas como estas sacuden el interior del ser humano.
Vatican News habló con el director de la película, Alex Quiroga, quien hablando sobre su película nos dice que es una visión dura sobre la vida y de una manera muy realista, la compara con el arte desde un grado superlativo que nos obliga a reflexionar por su sencillez, partiendo de que “menos es mas”. Una historia simple que desencadena en algo muy complejo como lo puede ser el arte. “El guión no habla directamente, pero retrata actitudes cotidianas inspiradas en hechos reales. No es una película más sobre sobre la enfermedad de Alzheilmer, es una invitación a amar y respetar a nuestros mayores y a nosotros mismos, dado que no podremos escapar a los años, ni a las consecuencias de esta enfermedad”.
