SoundTrack_Cologne will take place for the 12th time in 2015. It is the largest German trade fair for music and sound in film, games and media, and a source of inspiration for the growing landscape of festivals and congresses in Europe. In some 30 round tables, panels, workshops and networking events, the focus is on current developments in the culture, law, marketing and technics of media music as well as business cases, professionalization and networking. The training of the younger generation of students is a central theme. And for the general public, there are also about 30 festival events with films about music.

SEE THE SOUND · SoundTrack_Cologne 12 · August 19-23, 2015 


SoundTrack_Cologne 12 now invites all those working in film, producers and distributors, to submit music documentaries, artistic films about music and musicians, short films with a focus on music and music videos for the film programme SEE THE SOUND at SoundTrack_Cologne 12.

 

SoundTrack_Cologne is the German festival of music and sound in film and media. Since its inception, with its congress as well as festival programme, SoundTrack_Cologne has developed into the leading European platform for music in film and the media.

 

The film programme SEE THE SOUND is dedicated specifically to the combination of moving image and music, and presents the best examples of music documentaries, artistic films about music and musicians, biopics about musicians or bands, discerning documentaries about concerts, or portraits of bands, short films and music videos.

 

For the third time a Prize for the Best Music Documentary will be awarded in the context of SEE THE SOUND. The Prize will be worth 2.500 Euro. 

 

With SEE THE SOUND SoundTrack_Cologne aims to display the wide spectrum of connections between image and sound and to offer outstanding music films a platform to be presented to a professional public. 



Films and music videos whose production was completed in 2014 or 2015 or which had their premiere at a festival after 1st January, 2014 can be submitted. Films in any industry standard format, music videos as quicktime.mov 720 x 576 PAL, will be considered. There are no restrictions regarding country of production. 

Preview copies are accepted as online screener (preferred) as well as DVD. 



Deadline for the submission is Friday, 15th of May, 2015.
