Seoul International Film Festival
This year, the Seoul International Film Festival returns for a 10th year in Korea’s capitol. The original incarnation fell victim to hard times in 2008, but Seoul International is back & better than ever.
Born as SENEF (Seoul Film and Net Festival) in 1999, the original Seoul International Film Festival ran for 9 seasons, attracting more than 30,000 people to the city to celebrate hundreds of films.
A decade of Seoul International Film Festival will be marked by a week-long celebration of films, filmmakers, and the people that love them. It will span across the city and feature international showcases, industry panels, social events, cultural exchanges, and a lot of really good movies.
SIFF 2019 will award prize packages in twelve categories, including Best Feature, Best Documentary, Best Short, Best Screenplay, and Best Performance. These and the coveted Audience Award will be presented at the Awards Night Celebration.
2008년 경제위기의 희생양이었던 서울국제영화제(Seoul International Film Festival, SIFF)가 올해 10주년을 기념하여 다시 돌아옵니다. 서울영화네트축제(Seoul Film and Net Festival, SENEF)라는 이름으로 1999년에 태어난 서울국제영화제는 경제위기로 인한 중단 전까지 총 9회 동안 개최되어 매년 3만명이 넘는 사람들이 수천 편의 영화를 기념하는 행사로 자리잡았습니다. 휴식 시간이 예상보다 좀 길어졌지만 그 어느 때보다 활기찬 모습으로 돌아왔습니다!
10주년을 맞이한 서울국제영화제는 영화와 영화감독, 그리고 그들을 사랑하는 사람들 모두를 기념하는 일주일 간의 축제가 될 것입니다. 다양한 장소에서 국제 쇼케이스, 산업 판넬, 소셜 행사, 문화 행사, 아주 훌륭한 영화들을 선보일 예정입니다.
서울국제영화제 2019는 대상, 다큐멘터리상, 단편영화상, 각본상, 연기자상 등 12부문에 시상을 하게 됩니다. 각 부문의 상과 관객상은 시상식 밤에 전달됩니다.
