For the second time, with new name, the 22 years old MEDIAWAVE Film and music Gathering is going to be held in the historic and unique Fort Monostor in Komárom, by the river Danube. Returning to where it all began in 1991, we would like to revive and continue the ideas we had in our mind that time: to find a meeting point to artists and art lovers where the values lie in being together, share ideas, replant traditions to modern world and forget about money oriented attitude.

So if you send your film here, don’t rely on your film being screened among super high technical conditions in a plaza cinema but we can guarantee that the historic walls and the athmosphere of the place will be worthy to the visual art work.

To stay loyal to this conception, the professional international jury will distribute prizes with “no commercial value” like a week in the festival director’s rural house, wine tasting, gastronomy tours and hand made pieces of art.

If you visit us in the Fort between 30 April and 4 May, 2013, you won’t have the chance to be taken to 5 star hotels and Michelin restaurants, but your glass will be always filled with wine and palinka and your stomach full of gastronomic specialities. Beside you can enjoy music, workshops, theatre and the timeless feeling of being together.
