Sponsors: Consortium of US Bat Wildlife Rehabilitators * additional details to follow    Date:               Saturday, April 30, 2011  Time:               9AM to 10PM  Location:          Explorer’s Club NYC http://www.explorers.org/  Film Festival Purpose:  Raise awareness of the benefits and details of bats in a fun, campy, scientific and unusual way, recognize film makers who achieve best-in-class in key categories, engage the press and honor achievements of individuals.  The purpose of raising awareness is ultimate survival of bats in North America.  According to the USFWS, 9 bat species are expected to become extinct within 10 years in North America.  Millions of bats from Maine to Virginia have died and White Nose Syndrome (WNS) is moving to all 50 States & Canada despite the best effort of scientists and the USFWS.
