East Doc Platform draws from the unique representation of key international documentary professionals who are, in non-exclusive setting, available for informal meetings to every participant as well as accredited observers. East Doc Platform helps quality creative documentaries to fine-tune their story and visual style, and find suitable partners for co-production and distribution. East Doc Platform is designed for documentary professionals with projects in the development, production, and post-production stage, and for professionals with completed films.

What projects are we looking for?
Particularly creative documentary projects from Central and Eastern Europe, Russiaand post-Soviet republics in development and production stage (East European Forum), rough cuts or post-production stage (Doc Launch). The selection is also open to productions from other parts of Europe with projects thematically bound to our region. Despite such a geographic focus we annually pick a number of projects without any relation to our region.
EAST DOC PLATFORM features the following staple activities:
13th EAST EUROPEAN FORUM 2013
- Pitching Workshop (March 4 – 8, 2013)
- Public Presentations (March 9 - 10, 2013)
- Feedback Round Tables and indivisual meetings with international commissioning editors, distributors, sales, funders and festival programmers (March 9 – 10, 2013)
open to: 10 East European projects in development and production stage
focus: financing and promotion
Nearly 100 documentary films have been made with the aid of the Forum.

4th DOC LAUNCH PRESENTATION 2013
- 3 days of deep rough cut consultations and public presentations (March 7 - 9, 2013)
- public pitching (March 8, 2013)
- individual meetings with international commissioning editors, distributors, sales, funders and festival programmers
open to: 7-9 East European rough cuts/ projects in post-production
focus: rough cut editing consultations, financing and future distribution support

4th PROJECT MARKET
- a three-day meeeting point with prearranged individual meetings
Open for: all East Doc Platform visitors (except East European Forum participants who have their meetings scheduled individually), international commisioning editors, distributors, sales representatives, funders and festival programmers (March 7-9, 2013)

Focus: documentary film market, distribution support, festival service, online streaming
Open to: the latest documentary production from Eastern Europe
East Silver is the first documentary market dedicated exclusively to Central and Eastern Europe. Its main goal is to provide an annual overview of new documentary releases, and to create a comprehensive catalogue and a digitized video library, accessible to a broad circle of film professionals - broadcasters, major film festivals, sales agents - throughout the year. East Silver's activities also include the East Silver Caravan, the East Silver TV Focus, Silver Eye Awards, and East Silver Online Streaming, all designed to provide distribution support.
