Der Reklamefilmpreis kürt die besten und künstlerisch außergewöhnlichsten Leistungen im Zusammenhang mit der Herstellung von Werbefilmen. Er dokumentiert die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit und Kreativität deutscher Werbefilme und ist damit einer der bedeutendsten Filmpreise der Werbefilmbranche. Ausgezeichnet werden die Person, die für den Erfolg der Filme gearbeitet haben. Dabei spielen die einzelnen Menschen hinter Kamera eine wesentliche Rolle. Es ist ein Preis der das Talent von Textern, Regisseuren, Kameramännern und -Frauen, Art Directors etc. anerkennt und ihre weitere Entwicklung fördert. In 15 Kategorien wird der Preis an die außergewöhnlichsten Leistungen verliehen. Einreichen können alle selbstständig Kreativschaffenden der Werbefilmbranche sowie Werbeagenturen, Werbefilmproduktionen, Kameraleute, Musikproduktionen, Postproduktionen, Tonstudios und Hochschulen aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz.
