Susan Kucera is the director, co-producer, cinematographer, and editor of award winning Living in the Future’s Past* (2018) co-produced with academy award winner Jeff Bridges as well as Trading on Thin Air (2009), For the Love of Tango (2014), Breath of Life (2015), Hot Money* (2021) executive produced by Jeff Bridges and 12th Hour* (2022)

Susan’s films have been featured on National Geographic, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, NHK, KCET, LINK TV, Time Warner, and PBS and translated for and featured on platforms in China, Germany, Argentina, France and Japan, but most importantly they are featured in classrooms across the country.

Susan believes that most great documentaries must begin with open-mindedness; they document rather than preach and they are willing to follow the story wherever it leads. Some are emotional and some are cerebral, but they all share an intellectual curiosity.
