Urban Mediamakers Film Festival UMFF


The Urban Mediamakers Film Festival (UMFF) promotes and supports a diverse independent media arts community in the Southeast and worldwide by showcasing independent projects from around the world in English and Spanish. UMFF 2013 brings a creative atmosphere that encompasses metro-Atlanta's signature of being culturally diverse. "Changing the World, One Story at a Time" is the festival's theme, with exceptional films -- animations, shorts, features, documentaries, music videos, web/TV series and scripts in competition. Over $20,000 in cash and prizes awarded to winning filmmakers and writers. This four-day festival includes an opening night reception and film premiere, all-day independent film screenings, workshops/panels for filmmakers, writers, and actors, UMFF Script Reading featuring scenes from the top three screenplay writers in competition, networking, parties, UMFF Awards Presentation, and Sunday Brunch.

8th UMFF Call For Entries - Open Now

UMFF 2009 is seeking film, television and video projects that entertain and showcase independent works of excellence produced by or featuring African Americans, Asians, Indians, and Latinos. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes for winning filmmakers and writers.

Submit your project to UMFF 2009 today! All genres accepted for competition -- animations, shorts, documentaries, features, television shows, music videos, as well as screenplays (short and feature length).

Early Registration Deadline: July 1, 2009
Regular Deadline: August 30, 2009
Late Registration: September 16, 2009
