For the third year, we are thrilled to announce the dates and locations of the TROPFEST Arabia 2013 Filmmaking workshops.

This year’s road show of Filmmaking workshops will be taking place across the Middle East and North Africa and will start on Tuesday, 30th April in Dubai, followed by Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Doha, Jeddah, Amman, Beirut, Baghdad, Kuwait, Cairo, Alexandria, Marrakech and Casablanca. Participation in the workshops is free of charge. The workshops aim at providing aspiring filmmakers with  more information about TROPFEST Arabia and the film industry and to encourage submissions for this year’s festival.

This year, the workshops are going to be hosted by filmmaker and cinematographer Fadi Wahbeh, who has worked as a professor at the University of North Texas, where he graduated with a Fine Arts degree in documentary and media production. His track record includes teaching film production, cinematography and digital non-linear editing in the US, Syria, Qatar and the UAE. Currently he teaches at the New York University in Abu Dhabi. Fadi will be giving more information about the Festival’s guidelines and great tips on how to create a film for TROPFEST Arabia.
