Entertainment's Top Talent Kick-Off TRIBECA & CHANEL Women's Filmmaker ProgramTribeca and CHANEL kicked off the seventh annual THROUGH HER LENS, a three-day immersive program where entertainment’s most influential women gather around five emerging women filmmaker teams to provide one-on-one mentorship and intimate participant masterclasses.
In the end, one team will receive full financing to produce their short film with support from Tribeca Studios. The four other projects will be awarded grant funds to support their films’ development.
This year there are three supporting campaigns:
1). A 3-part video series titled IN DEVLOPMENT featuring Lucy Boynton, Alisha Boe, Hannah Peterson as they share an inside look at their creative process for developing a character. Director and winner of the 2019 Tribeca CHANEL THROUGH HER LENS production grant Hannah Peterson also makes an appearance and offers a glimpse into the making of her first feature film.
2). An instant photo project 45+ extraordinary industry leaders come together for a photo project to support the THROUGH HER LENS program and women in all aspects of filmmaking. Participants include Mira Nair, Angela Bassett, Angelica Ross, Chase Sui Wonders, Dasha Nekrasova, Diane Kruger, Ella Hunt, Glenn Close, Hari Nef, Kristine Froseth, Leslie Mann, Lucy Boynton, Maude Apatow, Natasha Leon, Phoebe Tonkin, Ry Russo-Young, Sadie Sink, Uzo Aduba, Whitney Peak and many more.
