The Cultural Association "Contemporary Art Addiction" in collaboration with the Centre for Cultural and Librarians  Services  of Nardò holds the sixth edition of the Ecologico International Film Festival.

 
1 - The Festival aims to discover and promote the independent film social national and international engaged on topical issues typical of contemporary society and of giving the public the opportunity to meet authors and works otherwise difficult to use and approved through traditional distribution channels.
2 - The Festival will take place in the city of Nardo in the month of September 2014 (09/08/2014 - 09/15/2014
3 - The competition is open to all professionals and non - professionals (authors) who are at least 18 years of age. Entry to the competition is free. The entry form and disclaimer are contained in the same fillable form from the website www.ecologicofilmfestival.it.
4 - Can take part in films that deal with the following topics:
Environment / Anthropology / Cohabitation religious, ethnic, cultural / Democracy / Diaspora / Human Rights / Diversity / Economics / War / Integration / Company / Landscape / Equal Opportunity / Participation / Racism / Popular Traditions
5 - The competition is divided into three sections: "International Film Competition", "Debut Italian Movies", "Taranta Movies".
To the "International Film Competition" may take part the film, of any kind, dealing with in terms of the ratio of current social communities and between them with the environment, to protect and promote human rights, pluralist democracy and the rule of law, that favor awareness and appreciation of identity and cultural diversity in the world, the coexistence of different peoples, religions and ethnicities, indicating common solutions to the problems of contemporary society).
To the section "Debut Italian Movies" can participate films released in Italy in the season 2012/2013, that they are the first or second debut of Italian directors, particularly working on issues of social relevance.
To the section "Taranta Movies" can participate in the film documenting the traditions of Salento folk culture in its various expressions.
6 - The competition can be entered works belonging to the following genera:
documentary / animation / docu / reports / drama / horror / action / adventure / biography / fantasy / sci - fi / thriller / war.
7 - The contest "International Film Competition" has three different sections according to the duration of the film:
- Section Short Film (max. 15 minutes);
- Section Medium Length (between 16 and 50 minutes);
- Section Long Length (over 51 minutes);
8 - Each author can participate with more than one work.
9 - The competition works shot in any format, in Italian or foreign. Foreign films must be subtitled in Italian or at the time of enrollment must be accompanied by a dialogue list with timecode in English.
10 - The entry form and disclaimer must be completed online in all their parts and sent through e-mail. The compiler will receive an email confirmation that contains the link to use to upload the following files:
- The film (supported formats: MPEG2, MPEG3, mpeg4, avi, mov)
- The trailer max 60 "(allowed formats: MPEG2, MPEG3, mpeg4, avi, mov)
- The photo of the director (jpeg, 300 dpi resolution)
- Two stills from the film (jpeg, 300 dpi resolution)
- Dialogue list with timecode
 
 
 
It is possible, however, to send the above material also via mail using obligatorily the postal service with postage simple (registered mail will not be accepted) by sending an envelope to the following address;

11 - By submitting the work, the sender claims to be the owner of all rights to use of the same, that the content of the work does not violate the laws and that the work does not contain any libelous. In any case, the author raises the organization from all losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of any nature whatsoever that may be incurred due to the content of his work and his public screening. Responsibility of the author any protection SIAE work and payment of performance rights in the case of using music repertoire created by third parties.
12 - The works submitted for selection will not be returned and will become part of the heritage of the Archive of the Ecological International Film Festival.
13 - Festival Director will coordinate the selection of applications will unappealably by establishing the film and video admitted to the final.
14 - The authors admitted to the final, previously informed by the Festival, must submit a copy of their work in DVD format (DVD - R / PAL) for the projection during the Festival.
15 - The Organization engaging to the care and custody of the works, does not take any responsibility for any theft, damage or loss that may occur from the moment of arrival to the public manifestation.
16 - The master of the works projected in the competition, will be returned to authors only if explicitly requested, with delivery by courier or priority mail, charged to the address indicated on the entry form, within 90 days after the course of Festival.
17 - The finalists will be judged by the jury, who will deliver the results on the last day of programming. Prizes will be awarded only in the presence of authors winners or of their delegates.
18 - The competition consists of six awards as follows:
"Taurus Award" for Best Feature Film.
"Taurus Award" for best short feature.
"Taurus Award" for Best Short Film.
"Taurus Award" for Best Debut Italian Movie.
"Taranta Award" for the best film on the traditions of folk culture of Salento.
"Mer Khamis Award" for best film selected by critics.
19 - The jury based on its unquestionable discretion may decide not to award any prize to the authors of the films selected for each section. The jury may also decide the allocation of cash prizes to the winners, in agreement with the Organising Committee, regarding the determination of the amount.
20 - The authors authorize the screening of their films submitted to the festival, in primary and secondary education institutions for educational purposes, and also for cultural and for promotion purpose of the Festival itself. Other use will be in compliance with applicable laws on copyright, subject to authorization of the rights holders.
21 - The Festival Direction may take any useful decision concerning such issues does not provided for by this Regulation.
22 - Participants in the competition through the entry form authorizing the Cultural Association "Contemporary Art Addiction", Organiser of the Festival, in accordance with Law 675/1996, to the processing of personal data and to use their name and address for purposes related to the event. The holder of personal data will be sent to the Association. Pursuant to art. 13 L. 675/96 data will be available for any corrections or changes related to their use.
23 - The application for admission to the Festival implies the acceptance of all the rules. For any controversy arising from the use of film works, will be the competent Court of Lecce. In the event of a dispute as to the meaning of the Rules, will attest that written in Italian.
