Derby City Film Festival announces 2012 sponsor/partnersDerby City Film Festival announces 2012 sponsor/partners Local and National businesses and organizations to support the 4th Annual film festival LOUISVILLE, KY. (December 21st) — The Derby City Film Festival is excited to announce the following sponsor partnerships for the 4th Annual Edition which will take place February 17th-19th at the Clifton Center in Louisville Kentucky: Attendees who bring a packaged food item to the box office when they purchase their ticket or pass will receive $1.00 off admission price. All food items will be donated to Kentucky Harvest. Kentucky Harvest was founded 25 years ago and has distributed nearly 50,000,000 pounds of food to agencies and missions that feed the hungry. The food distributed has benefitted agencies and missions by reducing the costs for purchasing food and allowing them to increase their services to the homeless and hungry. Kentucky Harvest is a 501 (c) (3) charity. www.kyharvest.com IndieFlix, an global independent film distributor, will host an on-line film festival the week prior to the start of DCFF which will include 10 short films which will be selected by DCFF. Viewers can watch the films on-line and vote for their favorite. The winner will be announced during the awards presentation Saturday February 18th. All films will also be screened during DCFF and offered distribution via Indieflix. www.indieflix.com Videoblocks and The Footage Firm have offered awards to selected filmmakers which include a year subscription to their stock footage library valued at $1000 and a music & video footage CD/DVD library valued at over $10,000. www.videoblocks.com, www.footagefirm.com York Entertainment, based in Los Angeles, will offer one of the US Feature films a world wide distribution deal. www.york-entertainment.com Clifton’s Pizza will offer $4.00 any large pizza and happy hour drink prices to any ticket or pass holder all festival long. The filmmaker symposium and awards presentation will also be held at Clifton’s on Saturday February 18th from 5:00 - 7:00. Any ticket or pass holder is welcome to come and enjoy a pizza buffet for only $8.00. www.cliftonspizza.com Ramada Inn - Downtown North on Zorn Ave is offering festival attendees rooms for $89.00 per night. Rooms must be booked by January 17th. www.ramada.com Additional local area sponsors include; Crescent Hill Animal Hospital, Dr. Fred Eddingfield, Anytime Animal Sitters, The Great Escape & 2023 Mid-Century Modern. Official selections and tickets for the 2012 DCFF will be announced and go on-sale in early January. The festival will be held February 17th - 19th, 2012 at The Clifton Center.
