A Shelter Among the Clouds

Besnik (Arben Bajraktaraj) is a shepherd suffering from mental disorder and living with his elder father in a village of mountainous North Albania. Member of a multi-faith family, he is a devout Muslim, his mother was Catholic, and his father is a former Communist. His sister Fitore and her family are also Muslims while his brother Alban who emigrated to Greece with his kids, converted to Orthodoxy. 

Albanian writer-director Robert Budina is artistically active and recognized both in his country and abroad. In "A Shelter Among the Clouds", his sophomore feature, he is dealing with the religious intolerance and respect in a secluded society.

The film will be presented by director Robert Budina, cast members Arben Bajraktaraj, Esela Pysqyli, Bruno Shllaku and Irena Cahani, and producer Sabina Kodra.

Until We Fall

Years ago, a young couple bought a historical summer house, hoping to spend long winter vacations by the warm ocean together with their son Lucas. Louise and Adam (played by well-known Danish actors Lisa Carlehed and Dar Salim) have returned to the island after a long while but this time without Lucas, and the local police insists on something impossible.

Director Samanou Acheche Sahlstrøm explores the topics of life and death and does it with profound passion.

Sunburn

A modern villa in the dry Portuguese summer landscape. The sun scorching bright high in the sky, four well-built bodies - three male, one female - hanging out by the pool, on the porch, in the bedrooms. All seem to be waiting for something, or as it soon turns out - someone. Scene by scene we are revealed the complex interpersonal relations and the most important, the relation of all the characters with the one who is being waited for. Who is that mythical person and what will happen when he finally arrives?

Director Vicente Alves do Ó and his team have succeeded, with an enjoyably beguiling directorial style and visual style, to load dramatic and emotional tension into one of the most tedious of all activities - waiting. Four people waiting for the fifth one, someone who has left and unforgettable mark on the souls and hearts of all of them, in some cases the scar tissue almost visible to the plain eye.

Happiness is a Warm Gun

Driven by the failure in their histories, they seek repose and comfort in people who can not offer them any. And yet, the hope for instances of humanness smolders in this restless solitude.
