Taiwan International Documentary Festival


 

Founded in 1998, Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDF) is one of the major professional documentary festivals in Asia. We are looking for documentaries that are creative, relevant to social and human interests, and have unique points of view. We encourage innovative filmmakers and documentaries with experimental spirit.

The TIDF competition consists three major categories, offering 11 awards and more than US$71,000 cash-prize. Filmmakers are encouraged to submit documentaries completed after December 1, 2017. All lengths welcomed. A Taiwan Premiere is requried. The entry deadline is December 5, 2019. We accept only online submissions through the TIDF official website. 

The 12th TIDF will be held from May 1 to May 10, 2020. We are now warming up for filmmakers and audiences to experience a brand new edition in the lovely spring in Taiwan.

12th TIDF Calling for Entries!

The 12th TIDF is now calling for entries!

TIDF is looking for documentaries that are most creative, closely connected to social and human interests, and have unique points of view!

Films completed after December 1, 2017 are eligible for our three main competitions and eleven awards. Over US$71,000 total cash-prize awaits. Submit your film before December 5, 2019. All forms and lengths are welcome. A Taiwan Premiere is required except for Taiwanese productions. Shortlist will be announced in February, 2020.
