It’s Day 2 of the 2023 Festival!

The second day of the Sundance Film Festival is in full swing! We hope you enjoyed the amazing premieres in Park City yesterday, and today we’ve got another slate of thought provoking films for you, including FairylandStill: Michael J. FoxDeep RisingFremont, and In My Mother's Skin. And ICYMI, we’ve added a surprise premiere to today’s lineup — Justice, a powerful documentary about the allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Today we kick off our Beyond Film program. At 11:30 a.m. MT, the doors open again for Cinema Café presented by Audible, D. Smith, Walé Oyéjidé, and Alison O'Daniel will have a panel discussion about innovation in the indie film industry. Then, at 2 p.m. MT, The Big Conversation begins with a discussion on increased representation in Hollywood featuring Randall Park, Marlee Matlin, Zackary Drucker, and Alethea Arnaquq-Baril.

"There’s nothing like the magic of being together once again at the Festival." Sundance Institute’s CEO Joana Vicente kicked off the day at Filmmaker Lodge yesterday with incoming Festival Director Eugene Hernandez and senior programmers John Nein and Kim Yutani. It was a busy Day One with premieres of Radical and Little Richard: I Am Everything. Guests at the sold-out A Taste of Sundance special event enjoyed a live performance from Indigo Girls and toasted Luca Guadagnino, Ryan Coogler, Nikyatu Jusu, W. Kamau Bell, and other award winners.
