6th Rajasthan International Film Festival, RIFF, 2020: Preparations in full swing

RIFF 2020 will have its Opening Ceremony on 18th January, 2020, 5 pm onwards, at Jawahar Kala Kendra (JKK Open Air Theatre), Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The festival will have film screenings and talk shows at Cinépolis, World Trade Park (WTP), JLN Marg, Jaipur.

RIFF 2020 Closing Ceremony and Awards Night will be held on 22nd January, 2020, 6 pm onwards, at Birla Auditorium.

The organisers are pleased to announce that Mai Ghat: Crime No: 103/2005, directed by

Ananth Narayan Mahadevan | India | 2019 | 104 min. | Language: Marathi

Cast: Usha Jadhav, Suhasini Mulay, Kamlesh Sawant, Girish Oak, Vibhavari Joshi and Vivek Chabukswar, is officially selected for the festival.

Organiser Somendra Harsh also announced that the "Pride of Rajasthan" award, for RIFF 2020, will be given to Gulab Singh Tanwar, well-known producer of Bollywood, who hails from Rajasthan .

He is the India Correspondent of FilmFestivals.com and a member of FIPRESCI, the international Federation of Film Critics, Munich, Germany

Siraj Syed has contributed over 1,015 articles on cinema, international film festivals, conventions, exhibitions, etc., most recently, at IFFI (Goa), MIFF (Mumbai), MFF/MAMI (Mumbai) and CommunicAsia (Singapore). He often edits film festival daily bulletins.

He is also an actor and a dubbing artiste. Further, he has been teaching media, acting and dubbing at over 30 institutes in India and Singapore, since 1984.
